when you do a full cleaning besides the heat exchanger, burn pot, chimney, ash tray, plates behind burn pot and the circular door behind the heat exchanger, do you remove any motors and clean them. have you done any major work on yours. i read that sometimes the circuit board goes
in all this years I did all the work myself.
Yes if I do a major cleaning, I do remove the exhaust fan motor, clean it carefully and vacuum the inside where the motor is mounted.
If you take the motor out, don't forget to order before a new gasket which goes in between the motor and the housing. It is always good to have a new gasket on
hand as they a bridle and break easily.
Very important - if you do any work on the inside of the pellet stove, unplug the power. I also recommend the use of a surge protector during operation of
stove, this way you should have less of an issue with the power board.
