Little by little I'm learning all the variances to burning "inside" in a wood stove. I see the difference between that, and burning outdoors in a fire pit. Even though this is not our first year of burning inside, it IS our first year of burning 24/7, (not yet, but when it gets really cold), and I'm excited about the lessons YET to learn.
Each fire inside, although the "same" in some ways, (from fire to fire) is individually different in others......like the way the wood falls when breaking down, the way the draft behaves, the compensation differences with the damper.........
That's the type of stuff that keeps it interesting (aside from the obvious value of the heat it generates). Never a dull moment with a fire!!
No real question here........just an observation.
