My Lennox PI140 insert started shutting down with a error code 2 short red lights. This occurs when the stove has been running for an hour or longer on 1 setting or when you turn the setting down to 1 it will red light after some time. The pellets seem to stop coming into the burn pot and the flame goes out and then the red light. I have not witnessed the process except when it is over so I'm guessing at that sequence. This occurs only on setting 1 when you start on that setting or turn the stove down to that setting. The stove will run forever if the setting is higher than 1 though.

Most likely proof of fire fault.
Running the stove on low may not have enough heat for the switch
It could be just dirty if the stove runs at a higher temp the switch is OK

I did clean the POF and it ran on 2 all night and when I put in more pellets in the morning I turned it down to 1 and it red lighted again. So last night I ran it on 2 for part of the night and turned it up to 3 sometime in the night. It ran all night and continued to run till just some short time ago and stopped feeding pellets and i caught iy while it still had glowing embers in the burn pot and i hit the start button again to start the auger again and it started to work but not till i pushed the start button to get the auger moving pellets again and that also turned on the igniter.. So I am thinking the auger is either intermittently turning off/on or I am getting some bridging where I am getting some gapes in the tube causing the fire to go out and at that point the auger stops feeding pellets an eventually the fire having quit burning and the auger stopped feeding pellets it threw a red solid ready light and a 2 short blink red on the igniter at the same time. I don't believe the igniter is not functioning because it had no pellets to light when it threw that code. While it was trying to start the non existent pellets it timed out??? maybe caused by no pellets in the burn pot. So I turn it off and let it rest for some time and start it on 2 and its running again seemingly fine!?? We will see what it does this time.

so it now seems to be stopping the auger and the pellets run dry while the igniter continues to ignite the empty pellets and eventually gives a failed igniter error. But you start it again and it starts and igniter works and the auger stops working and the fire goes out without any pellets. Appears to be an auger motor intermittent problem? Any ideas?

I went ahead and jumped the proof of fire and the stove has been working good for a couple of hours now without stopping the pellets so we may make it till the sun rises and takes us up above 5 deg.
