We’re really struggling to get our Purevision PV 85 (with active baffle) burning properly. We have tried chimney fan, anti dowdraft cowl, extending external flue. We have the direct air intake installed as well. This is replacing our old stove that burnt well, but let smoke into the room on every reload. Notwithstanding the fact that nothing is bullet proof / infallible and specific circumstances can affect any installation…… can anyone suggest a stove that is considered to work well in most circumstances including twin wall flue through extension roof? If we can’t get it firing on all cylinders soon, or find one that does (without smoke in the room), we may have to give up on the idea of a log burner altogether, which would be a real shame after 10 years of wood burning. Any ideas / suggestions welcomed.
