I just serviced my King 5502M, replaced the Tee as removal of the existing Tee was a battle with the existing silicon. Replaced rope gasket in the joint which were disconnected. Replaced the exhaust blower gasket and exhaust duct gasket. Replaced the door glass gaskets and rope gasket. I am still getting smoke even though I was generous with silicon.
I just added silicon into the joints on the 90 as I know that can be a problem too. Should I apply silicon around the gasket joints also?
I only want to add metal tape as a last resort. Any other suggestions?
