I was wondering if anyone could take “real life”measurements on a King 40. The door to my basement is 31 3/8” wide and the manual says 30 3/8 front to back. Can anyone confirm this is accurate? It’s going to be a tight fit down the stairs through the door jam mostly. After that it shouldn’t be a problem. Otherwise I need to downgrade to ordering a Princess 32.

My experience is that the manual is accurate. My stove is a Chinook, and I had to get some trim off the door to make it work and it was exactly as the manual said.
