I awoke to discover my Keystoker coal stove had gone out overnight. The
fire had moved up the chute and burnt out the gear motor - putting itself out.
The pistol motor was still running when I got up. The motor was replaced and
all seemed well only the fire continues to move up the grate threatening the
gear motor again. I am cold and frustrated. The stove has
been thoroughly cleaned (unless I have missed something I don't know about) -
including the chimney pipes, under the grate etc. etc. The chimney itself, appears clean and shows
clear when I hold a mirror up to it. I love this stove - it has totally heated my
home for 16 years and, during my partner's lifetime, was beautifully maintained.
I am trying to keep up the tradition. I would be very grateful if someone would
share some knowledge about this problem. Thanks so much!
