We are new to wood stove - had our living room remodled this summer so we could put one in.
Inspector came out and reviewed our install and he said I did such a great job he wished I could help everyone. (follow the rules)

That was some high heart seal I used, it is painted now so no red seen.

Yes I live down from a lumber yard and they give me the wood that is not good enough for them. very handy to have them around

You are going to regret putting that on there. It is going to smell horrible untill it burns off completely or you figure out how to get it all off.

Thank you, it contains the mess. I got it off a farmer for $50
I cleaned I up and there ya go.

Ahh ok thats why it hasn't burnt off yet. How do you plan on disassembleing it to clean?

Ok, that is what it looked like. The goop on the pipe joints is doing nothing. The smoke does not travel through the outer jacket.
