We are new to wood stove - had our living room remodled this summer so we could put one in.
Inspector came out and reviewed our install and he said I did such a great job he wished I could help everyone. (follow the rules)

Looks good. But is there something on the pipe joints? I can't tell from the pics.
 
Did you get oak cut offs?
 
That was some high heart seal I used, it is painted now so no red seen.
You are going to regret putting that on there. It is going to smell horrible untill it burns off completely or you figure out how to get it all off.
 
Looks more like red RTV. Pack2Rule, is this double-wall stove pipe?

Ok, that is what it looked like. The goop on the pipe joints is doing nothing. The smoke does not travel through the outer jacket.
 
Looks nice! I was also admiring that large tub... copper?!?
