Hello to all.... I have to say that this sight is incredibily informative and i've learned alot. I just had a few questions and could use some expert advice. I had my Kennebec installed in March 09 by my local dealer. In basically one season i have had to have the dealer replace the gasket around the door 2x. Even with a new gasket it still doesn't pass the dollar bill test. The bill comes out easily and i felt like i was ripping through way too much wood last season. I just saw that Jotul now makes a single door for the Kennebec. Anyone know if i can switch to that door and does anyone think that will help my problem? I have always liked a single door better but i couln't get the Rockland to fit so i had to go with the Kennebec.
Also...in the room where i have my wood stove there are cathedral ceilings. So much wasted hot air up there. I do have a ceiling fan hanging down but when i'm burning i'm torn between keeping the fan on winter mode so it just moves the air around, or the summer mode which actually pushes it down. I'm desperately trying to circulate the air in my straight ranch down the hallway towards the bedrooms. Thanks for your help!!
