Jotul Discounts

Hi all,

I am looking to upgrade my Vermont Castings Vigilant and have settled on either the Jotul F55 or F 600. My questions is about the discounts that Jotul offers on their stoves. Right now, they are running a promotion to discount Jotul stoves $200, but they are also running a swap out discount of $300 if the Jotul is replacing any non-epa certified wood stove.

My question is does anyone know if these discounts can be combined? My local dealer says no, but, to be honest, I don't trust their word very much.

Additionally, can anyone give me up-to-date prices they have paid for the Jotul F 600 Blue/Black Enamel finish? I plan to call all the local dealers tomorrow to get pricing and hopefully put in my order for a new wood stove!

I would assume that the discounts are not able to be combined. I do know that we would give a 10% discount to almost anyone just for buying a stove this time of year, no matter the brand. So ask around...

The F55 and the F600 are very different stove designs. The F55 is a jacketed steel stove with a square firebox and a front loader while the F600 is a radiant cast iron stove that is primarily E/W side-loading.

The local dealer here says Jotul's $300-off ends Aug 31. The next day, though, they start a 10% off sale... which for the matte black F600, is.... $300.

Jotul's 300 allowance for a non epa stove ends August 30. The 200 off program was earlier this year. MSRP for a Jotul F600 is just under 3000. We discount the stove to 2626 Matte Black. The 300 would come off the store's selling price (the store also has to be a participant in the program with Jotul). Shop around, most stores are discounting 7-9 percent this time of year, trying to pay off early buys.. Good hunting.

Sorry didn't see your Blue Black question. Blue black adds about 400 to MSRP. We'd sell it for about 2995.

I have the F12 purchased new in 1995 ($1700)...still love it. From reading many a post here, I would consider BK Ashford as replacement (see Joful posts). Question, what else did you consider other than Jotul?

I've got the smaller Oslo and paid right around $3,000 out the door for the Blue/Black enamel and short leg kit. That was not delivered, or installed. Purchased last October I believe.

Keep in mind he hasn't used his Ashfords yet. His fireplaces are as big as my bathrooms! Hope he can get some out into the room.

I bought my F600 in matte black last August for $2400, that included PA's 6% sales tax. That was an unfired display model plus the annual 10% off sale with pick up, no delivery. Loved it last winter even with bad (high moisture) wood.

Just bought an F50-TL here in Boulder, CO. Got both a 10% discount (applies only for in-stock stoves) and the $300 change-out program credit for recycling a 36-year old stove. List was $2,599, $2,340 after discount, $2,040 after change-out credit. I originally wanted the F600, but it wasn't stocked so the 10% discount loss steered me to the F50. It has a deeper box anyway for N/S loading.

Thanks. Bought two cords of seasoned wood for this winter. Propane prices are pretty low this year (so far) so hopefully it's enough for day-time burning for the basement. I'm currently felling dead trees in my 4-acre woodlot. Has been neglected for decades it seems, and could use plenty of thinning as well. I expect to net 4-5 cords before the onset of winter for the following year. Mostly pine though. In the spring I plan to go the tree-length buying and processing route and get myself a man's chainsaw instead of the kiddie battery operated one I have now. The wife has been great... I fell, she bucks, I split, she stacks.
