This stuff? It only works to 450F. Not nearly hot enough.

Is this crack in steel or cast iron?

This stuff. It's claimed to be good to 1000º F. I have seen a couple of postings on repairs made with this. One for a VC stove hinge foot and another one for an internal stove repair. So far no reports on how well it will stand up over time. But if it does, it could be a blessing for some castiron repairs. Could be good for filling in the holes at the end of cracks?

That’s probably the best long term solution. It might do wonders in a pinch though.
