Hello
Anyone else seen this happen?
These augers are no longer made!
I just took the auger out and MiG welded the fins in 3 places with good penetration. Then popped the bearing seal and packed in some Red & Tacky high temp grease from Home Depot.
The auger shaft now turns freely in the bearings.
Pic 1-2 broken welds
Pic 3 - Pull black seal off with HF pick probe
Pic 4 - Bearings are bone dry!
Pic 5-6 Add red & tacky high temp grease
Pic 7-8 Cleaned up auger is ready to feed!
