The well known issue of the gasket on the cat bypass door has partially come off my hearthstone GM60. It should operate fine if I just remove it for now no? I don’t feel like trying to get it back in place until the end of the burning season I think.

I have a Mansfield on its 3rd winter. The gasket came off last summer when vacuuming out the cats. It was torn so ordered a new one. Took forever to get so running without. I think it runs better. May not get the intended EPA efficiency, but not a concern of mine. Don’t worry about it.
