In the 1980s my grandfather put this wood stove into a cabin I inherited from him. The stove has been there all my life and works very very well. It's big enough to heat the cabin when it's -60°, but it closes down well enough to burn slowly for twenty-four hours.

Currently, I'm trying to identify the stove's manufacturer. The manufacturer's tag is missing, but the mostly faded testing tag says "Arnold Greene Testing Laboratories." Then it lists six model numbers, P-100-28 to P-102-30.

I looked extensively on Google and could not find an exact match anywhere. However, I did find out that it looks a lot like Blaze King models from the seventies and early eighties.

So, is this a Blaze King, or is it a different make that just looks like a blaze king?

Looks like it might be, though not sure which model. @BKVP will have a better idea.

Sorry they are no longer an EPA certified test lab. Otherwise you could contact them and ask what model it was.

I looked up Arnold Greene and found nothing, except some news articles from the eighties. My grandpa got it in Marquette, Michigan in about 1984. According to the tag it came from a place in Wisconsin called Metalfab. I tried looking for them online and found nothing of use since there are probably hundreds of places that call themselves Metalfab.

Also, I don't think it's a blaze king after all. I looked at blaze king manuals online. It seems to me that blaze Kings are usually catalytic, whereas mine is non-catalytic. The blaze Kings also usually are lined with fire brick. My stove has a double steel wall instead of bricks.

This one is really puzzling me. There has to be someone out there who knows what it is... I think.

I'm the VP of Blaze King. It is definitely not ours.

It bears a resemblance to the Polar Therm wood stoves of that era. So does the model number. Here is a WH testing tag and a shot of a different Polar Therm. That door is distinctive.
