any ideas on where to place a thermometer on a Buck 74 insert, It has an outer shell that the blower pulls air in from the bottom and around the stove and out the top. Placing a thermometer on the top doesnt seem like I would get accurate readings.
 
I have a Buck 74. I use it as a stand alone, not an insert...but I put my magnetic stove thermometer at the top right corner of the front. Just position it so that opening & closing the door doesn't hit it and it'll work great. Because of the way the Buck is designed, I find that I get more accurate readings with it placed here as opposed to the stove top. Great stove.
