Insert or stove in double-sided fireplace?

Hi Dan,
I’m curious what you decided to do. My husband and I are investigating the same problem. We really don’t want the heat on dining room side if we do an insert.
How did you address the non function side look?

See post #22 above. We close the glass doors and ember screen if we don’t want to heat the dining room. Not home until later this month, so can’t do a foto yet.
