[Hearth.com] Identify and disassembling gas vent pipe

Have tried twisting using strap wrench but no luck. Any help is appreciated

Have you tried TWO strap wrenches? Depending on how long the vent sections have been in use, you might need another pair of hands to break them free…

Thanks for the reply

Yes, two people, two sturdy straps,
Cannot get any joint to budge.

Pipe looks good, no obvious corrosion
Stove was propane for 15 years and NG for last 12.

All fasteners removed
The slip joint section moves freely up and down

Looks like Simpson DuraVent DV pipe. RTV Silicone & screws were not required to assemble this vent. Not sure why you want to disassemble it, but it’s probably going to be more trouble than it’s worth.

I am disassembling because I am replacing the Lopi gas stove with a gas fireplace

The instructions for the vent says sealant is optional. The person that originally
