Hope you guys can help me. I need to replace my stove gasket on my Regency I-2400 insert for the door. What steps do you take to replace it from start to finish? I have already purchased the gasket and glue.. I just need some advise as I never did it before.

Thanks Guys

Curious, how old is your stove gasket? My stove is 2.5 years old and i have some spots that are real snug and some that are marginal using the dollar bill test. This video shows how to change the gasket.

went to put gasket in and its short by 6 inches. Should I stretch it a little?
I simply laid the gasket in the groove. I didnt stretch it a bit. Is that the way to install it. If so I have to go back to the store and get a new piece.

No to stretching it. Go get a peice that fits. It should line up end to end with a little extra if anything.
