Am considering buying from Pelletsales.com. Are they legit? What is your experience with them?

I asked similar questions about pelletsales.com on this forum before signing up for an early spring buy. I was very concerned after reading of pellet crooks who took peoples' money with, apparantly, no intention of delivering pellets.

The answers were 100% positive.

Found them to be very nice to deal with on the telephone.

Did a credit card purchase as the card is not charged until the pellets are delivered.

Am scheduled for an April delivery of LG Granules pellets.

100% positive experience. Delivered what they said they would when they said they would. Pellet quality is just fine.. No complaints. One of the few places that actually have pellets. The latest are imported from Canada...

I am thinking of the same thing... LG Granules via a credit card. I want to be done with next year's pellets NOW and I am of the mind that they aren't going to cheaper anytime soon. Thanks for your feedback and good luck with you purchase!

I've been dealing with them via telephone. If you intend on buying from them, then call them on the phone. The prices that are being listed are incorrect. They are having a few issues with their website. I was going to buy 10 tons of LG Granules for March delivery. The web site said they were to deliver Westwood pellets and at a much more expensive price. I figured it was wrong,so I called them up. Come to find out they had LG Granules and at about $600 cheaper. The woman is going to contact the IT department today. So if you are going to buy from them, you might want to call them. They are very pleasant people to deal with.

I purchased from them last year and was very pleased with the experience.

Been buying exclusively from them for the past 3 seasons.
I give them a double thumbs up.

i had it bad with them ordered 6 tons of new england , did not send new england , they said they were out and what do i want to do, so they sent me Greenway at the same price and they were the worse pellets ever, lots of fins and they were long about a 1 inch to 1.5 inch long, i called them and said they know they were having a problem with greenway, it is what it is.
They had me wait for months and when they called to confirm delivery, thats when they told me about the pellet change
they had me agaist the wall i had no choice, i might give them another chance but i have see if theres anyone eles out there

A big fat F because they don't deliver to me.

Is there a prefered brand they sell that you like or just take what they have.

They normally offer a few different brands but I like the NEWP
and the Cleanfire.

Anyone buy in bulk? I was wondering if they provide the collapsible bin on a sale/lease basis. If not I guess I could build something in my garage.

Here's a question: How much of a discount should there be for bulk? Put another way, what would the "spread" be for you folks to buy bulk over bagged? Seems to me theres alot of issues with bulk, so the price difference would need to be appreciable.....gotta have a bin, gotta lug the pellets by bucket to the stove (maybe not bad), how would you pick them up, or would you have them delivered, etc?

They deliver in a big truck, looks like an oil truck with a big hose, Im wondering what the best way to go about storing them, I like the collapsible bin but looking if anyone has any experience.

They are a site sponsor.....so I may be biased....BUT,

I have met the principals and also dealt with some of the staff there - and I was very impressed. I'm a pretty good judge of these types of things....I can smell a rat or an opportunist from far away. These people are professional, sincere and hard working. The principals are not some folks who jumped in to make a buck. They are executives experienced in logistics....from the corporate world.....who then decided to enter this field and DO IT RIGHT.

That does not mean they are perfect. But, at the same time, they definitely execute and are striving (and I think they are) to be the biggest and best supplier of pellets and other biomass fuels in the USA.

I bought from them once (last fall) and was very happy. I plan to buy next year's supply from them if the pricing works out.

I don't have any opinion about PelletSales.com; I've never done business with them.

But I just wanted to post somewhere that I was driviing through Boston the other day, and noticed a billboard for PelletSales.com! This was on I-93 southbound in the Dorchester section of Boston.

I would not have thought that there were that many pellet users in the city, or in the suburbs south of Boston.

Bought 3 tons of greenway pellets from them last year, Good Company Although Pricey, If I was In A Pinch I would Buy From Them, Luckily My Local Pellet Dealer Comes In Cheaper And They Are Only 15 minutes away from me. 4 tons of Barefoot Pellets 259/ton.

They are an honest and reliable company, at least for me, they have been. I just wish they had a bigger selection of pellets, they only seem to have LG and Cleanfire in my area.
