How do I remove inner plate to remove soot after cleaning chimney?

Hello, I have a Jotul F400 stove (that I love and live by). I can go up on my roof and clean/sweep the chimney, but there's a second step a friend told me about of removing a piece inside the stove to release all the soot that came down from the sweeping of the pipe. Could someone please guide me on how to do this?

Cleaning the Jotul F 400 Castine - Secondary Air removal

Just to be sure, they are the bolts that are positioned to the extreme left and right side of the stove, going up into the cover right?

The top on the Castine is gasketed and designed to be removed for maintenance like flue cleaning. The bolts that hold it down are primarily for shipping.
