Hey Everyone ive tried to search for this answer but cant find it... i have a 500 gallon propane Tank... Gas is already removed... and a 250 gallon gas already removed...safe... im making a double propane stove inside my greenhouse which is a 20x100... i cant seen to find any 8 inch flue collars in my area to start my run from my homemade stove... I thought about using two 6" flue collars from my old barrel kits.. have two seperate stove pipes from the same stove... running up 8ft tall then going through the wall... would the two pipes be necessary or would the one 6"be enough... if possible... it would be nice if i could use the whole end as a door... anyone have any ideas? sorry for so many questions in one post.. and thanks in advance

I cannot give you any advice on flue size for a homemade stove... but schedule 40 8" steel pipe will have about an 8" inside diameter. I am assuming you are going to be doing some cutting and welding on this monster stove.

So get a length of schedule 40 8" pipe, cut a hole for it, weld it in place, shove your stove pipe in the top of the schedule 40.

Use non-galvanized pipe.

When you say the tanks are empty and safe... to me that means they have been filied with water to displace any gas in them, and then drained. That is the recommended method they taught me at welding school.

Uhh i doubt 8" will be big enough for a stove that large. 10 may not even be enough. But like said above just use pipe and weld it inplace

That is a giganto tank. Consider cutting that in half and making a double barrel with 8'' flue. Heat exchanger in the top "barrel.''
You would end up with a flat plate on the cut ends. Easy to fabricate a door after.
