Hi my name is Pat
We just got a Osburn Hybrid -35MF pellet stove installed. We are happy so far. We have a small 2 bedroom house on a pad and this stove will meet our needs quite nicely i think.
Last night the flame went out and gave us an error code of E. Anyhow, the hopper was full, the burn pot was full of pellets. I noticed that the damper lever was loose and it was set on full. I adusted that back to about 1/4 (We have been running the feed rate between 1 and 3 out of a possible 6 We are just getting used to how much heat per setting etc).
I cleaned the burn pot etc last night. This morning, i turned the stove on and again the burn pot filled with pellets but no igintion. My wife then found something in the manual aobut maybe having to turn the damper right down to the lowest setting for starting. That worked and now it is working nicely. I have adjusted the damper back to about 1/4. Will be watching to see how it goes.
I guess my question would be, would i have to turn my damper down to minimum to start it all the time or can I leave it at 1/4?
So far I have found this website and its people very helpful. And thanks for the forum admins for putting in a spell check
Thanks
Pat
