I searched and could not find a thread on this, so I thought I would ask...
I just got my heritage home and in the house! WHEW! Now the questions is, how do I hook her up? I have a 6" sleeve expandable style stove pipe, which goes straight up to my metal asbestos chimney pipe through the roof. The sleeve style expandable pipe, while it is considered a "single wall" for safety standards it actually has 2 walls... which is what allows it to grow. Where it hooks up to the stove, one wall goes on the outside of the stove, one inside the stove. On the Heritage the cast piece is so thick my pipe wont go over it.
So, should I get a 4 inch extension that goes inside the Heritage 2 inches , then up like 2 inches and have my current pipe go inside? Or do I scrap the whole thing and go with something else? The whole pipe distance is 64 inches from the stove stone to the metal asbestos coupler.
THANKS
