I see a lot of posts discussing the depth of install ( flush vs. sticking out 5 inches) of the hearthstone clydesdale. Most indicate it should be sticking out for purposes of the channeling of the heat vents. However, it seems that the newer clydesdales have incorporated into the surround mount channel extenders. This would seem to imply that the argument that the heat would be lost behind the surround is no longer valid.
Can anyone comment on this?? I'm having it installed today.
