I picked up this stove for free to use in my shop. The combustion parts and internals are all good fortunately. The linkage between the damper plate and the damper rod has fallen off. That’s why they bought a new stove. Can anyone tell me what attaches the linkage to the rod? As it is there is nothing to connect the 2.

Show a picture of where it goes on the stove to refresh my memory. It's been a while.

It sits on the rod just inside the stove. Something had to attach it, but if it’s welded, there would no be no way to remove the damper frame for service. There’s no evidence of a broken weld or a fastener of any kind.

That's odd I have never had to mess with that part.

It would have to be removed before the damper frame can come out. I would think it would be a common topic with all the issues rear combustion stoves have.
This one heated for 27 years with the original parts.

Wow that's impressive. I will see if i can find my harman service manuals tomorrow. We don't see too many anymore so I don't remember. I will ask my father if he remembers

Thank you!

Update:
I figured out how to the repair the damper linkage. Got it up and running last night. So far so good. I’m not sure it’s keeping the garage as warm as the Oslo, time will tell.
