Greetings! First time poster...
I have a Harman XXV that has been running fine for 5 or so years. Recently, it has begun starting up on its own! The feeder, igniter and combustion blower all kick on randomly (last night at 3am, for example). Given enough time, it will ignite, as it usually would. It has happened a handful of times over that past 6 weeks or so.
All settings are in their OFF positions, as they normally are, and the rest of the time it works as expected.
As you can imagine, it is a bit disconcerting knowing that it may turn on at any time, particularly while I am not at home. I have yet to find out what the distribution blower will do. It can get pretty hot if that is turned low (or OFF) while there is a fire.
Disclaimer...I have replaced the distribution blower several times over the years. The last time was at the beginning of the season, shortly before this issue started occurring. Not sure it is related, but thought I'd mention it.
As I mentioned, everything else seems to be working normally and as expected.
Thanks for any suggestion.
