I am toying with the idea of hooking up a thermostat to my Accentra this season and I would like some feedback from people that have done this before.
I have read previous posts about installing and how to use the thermostat.
Do you have your Harman on Auto ignition or manual?
I am thinking that with manual the stove will not shut down but rather keep the fire going with minimal pellet usage (my accentra uses 1lb/hour).
I am concerned that in Auto mode the stove will be in constant shut down/ignition mode to satisfy the tstat.
The way I see it when the Tstat switches to the lower temp (16.5C) it will close the circuit which means the stove will think theres a problem with the sensor and shut down.
When the temp drops to 16.5 then the tstat opens the circuit then the stove resets and starts the ignition.
Wont the stove be doing too often? Or the stove wont actually have time to completely shut down?
Opinions please!

accentra has a built in tstat: get tstat wire and extend your room sensor probe it you want it to run based on temps several rooms away..

you can also run you stove in man w/ out the set back tsta: and yes, it will blast on and off with a status light every time: i never like that..

Here are pictures of my "chrono"-stat ("timer" ?) :

The stove is always in automatic, setpoint at 20°C, remote probe in the center of the house
Left plug is for the stove, with earth cable of the house close to the floor, Right plug is for the timer (day/time), that drives the relay
normally closed contact opens one wire of the probe cable to shut down the stove during working and sleeping hours, etc.
easy programming but : relay on = stove off / relay off = stove on, and needs to adjust starting time to have correct temperature when coming in
I simply unplug the cable from the timer to the relay to go to 'automatic with probe'

I can put pictures of Harman 'external T-stat' document, or of my draft electrical drawing, if needed
