Have looked through most of the threads and am trying to figure out the proper direction of the combustion motor. Got a replacement although both wires are black. It is a Gleason Avery unit.

So just for curiosity what direction would that be. Always thought if you changed the coil input wire to the coil it would reverse the field.
I know you are correct, my AC skills are limited. I’m a DC guy, and three phase AC. Thanks for the help.

To tell you the truth I have no idea what direction a Harman fan turns
I guess I never needed to know. yes, you can change direction if you
disassemble the motor and rewire . My experience is with 12-volt
automobile motors and some work in solar thermal systems where
we used soft start variable speed DC pump motors

Open frame motors can be reversed like Johneh said 👍

Open frame motor you can turn the magnet/coil pk 180deg. To reverse diection
