I have a Harman P61-2. It was here when I bought the house and I have run it for 8 years with just basic cleaning.
My wife tried to start it for the first time this season last night. It was unplugged so she plugged it in and turned it to room temp and turned the temp up, and nothing happened. The power light is on status light is on solid (no blinks), it is plugged into a surge protector.
It doesn't do anything, the blower doesn't come on, the auger doesn't spin, nothing. It ran at the end of last season but won't do anything now.
Where do I start troubleshooting?
What is the sequence that things start? I assume blower first, then auger and igniter.

First, when she plugged it in, did it go thru it's "testing" of the blowers turning on for a second or two then shutting off? If not, then I don't know where to start (maybe board - but IDK).

Second, is the switch on auto?

After that, check to make sure you don't have blockage in the exhaust or the intake. Then check to make sure all the doors are properly closed (hopper, ashpan and firbox doors). I'd really take a good look at the hopper lid and make sure there isn't a chunk of pellet sitting in there keeping the hopper switch from depressing to let the stove know that it is closed.

I'm pretty sure the sequence of starting is exhaust, auger and igniter. Then the distribution blower comes on after the fire starts.

Turn the pot to test and see if it runs through each function

It doesn't even try to.run the blowers. I am under the impression that the seals are needed to develop vacuum when the exhaust blower starts. I am not getting any blowers going so there is no vacuum to test the seals???

What happens when you put it in “test” mode? LED’s come on? Fans operate etc?

If it doesn't do any testing, then the combustion motor is the first thing to test. However, someone else would have to tell you how to test it so you can tell the difference between having an actual motor issue versus having a wiring issue that prevents the blower from starting.

If you have a lot of dust and pet hair, it could be clogged up enough that it won't start. Because I have a lot of dust, cat hair and bird feathers, I vacuum out the fan itself several times a year and use canned air to blow out the motor (after unplugging and waiting a few minutes to make sure any stored electricity has discharged).
