Hey everyone. Year number 3 on our Harman and now moving onto our 2nd problem. We love this stove but it has certainly not lived up to the Harman name. Fortunately, our first issue of a completely dead auger motor the first year was covered under warranty. I do not think that will be the case this go around, so hoping someone here may have some insight to what may be going on.

This started a couple of days ago that I noticed the room fan will randomly set to a very low rate while everything is burning. The flame would get low and things would get back to normal after a few minutes. I didn't think much of it because everything is still working for the most part. I noticed the temp was about a degree above our set temperature, so thought maybe it was just setting lower.

This kept happening more frequently and then noticed it mentioned it was "igniting" on the screen, even though the flame was still going. We have had some very cold days recently, so it's been burning a lot. I did a thorough clean of the burn pot, scraping everything out, thinking the carbon build up on the bottom was tricking it to thinking the flame had gone out maybe. Unfortunately, this did nothing and the problem still persists.

So basically, we have an intermittent issue where the fan lowers and the computer changes to "igniting" even though there is already a flame going. Anyone have a clue as to what this may be? I am leaning toward some board issue that is likely out of what I can diagnose myself without just replacing a board or something. I am quite handy, just not sure where to start on this one. Any help is greatly appreciated!

If the stove is ignited automatically, it is because the ESP probe does not detect any heat and the stove wants to relight.

It could b e as simple as the ESP probe is packed with ash. It is located in a spot at the exhaust exit that is not very visible and you really need a small mirror to get a good view of it. it is up in the corner and prone to ash build up. No need to remove it, just use a small brush like a tooth brush or thin screwdriver to clean the ash out around it. Try that first. Stove has to be slid out to access it.

Are you using a remote thermometer ? Maybe battery in remote or signal interruption to stove
