So Illinois
I took some advice that I read here and looked at Lowes for a pellet stove on clearance. My local store didnt have any stoves on sale so I looked at other stores nearby. Still no luck. After checking a few stores a bit further away I found one that had a stove for sale for $300.00. Upon further inspection I also saw that it said that it was temporarily unavailable. Just my luck!!!!

I waited a couple of days and checked back and the Price had been reduced to $150.00 and the install kit was $99.00. I called and asked if they had any in stock and they said yes they had one left. I jumped on it and told them I wanted to purchase it and they said don't worry we will hold it for you. I politely declined and said no, I want to go ahead and pay for it and not have to worry about it not being there when I get there. The clerk finally said ok its up to you.

My brother and I went to pick up the stove and got the whole package for a little over $270.00. I am one happy pellet stove owner. He gave about $2000.00 for his last year and said he liked the one I purchased better. We will have to see how it burns to be sure though. I think he was just being nice, but its the thought that counts.

You bought a brand new pellet stove for $300?

this is why im not selling any stoves

How the hell can anything be sold that cheep?

Shipping cost alone would be $55 to $100 to a dealer for a stove

then the parts to make the stove Manufacture Volume cost
Auger motor $50?
control board $75 +
Steel wires and other manufactured parts in the stove $200 +
Two blowers $150+
Ceramic glass $25

Im not knocking the guys at Englander this hurts

Us servicing dealers that sell quality product and are there to give professional FACE TO FACE advice and tech support just cant win in this new world we live in.

^ tell me about it. There is this guy, around the business I work for, advertising a brand of stove we sell, with installation for about $1500-$2000 less than we can. He does not have a showroom or employees. He uses the distributore as his wearhouse and picks up the stove on the day of install. Customers come into the show room asking my advise and looking at ourdisplays, and we can't make the sales competing with someone with little or no overhead. Those customers of his are going to have a tuff time if they need service next year and want warranty coverage.

What's wrong with the stove? Wonder why so cheap.
Not trying to be negative, but this sounds too good to be true
to find a $1600 stove to be 90% off.

Congrats on your find!

Not sure if you need pipes or not but Lowes has pipe for 50% off. That's including install kits.

Congratulations! That's a great price. The best price I could find on that stove was $649.50 which is still a good deal.
