I am still somewhat new to grinding my own chains and have a question about grinding one that had an unfortunate encounter with a rock this morning![Mad  ](/talk/styles/default/xenforo/smileys/angry.gif)
Looking at the chain it appears it only contacted the rock on one side of the chain but the top of the teeth on that side have quite a bit of bevel on them. My guess is that I would need to grind .050 plus to get rid of all the damage. My question is, do I need to go ahead and grind all the bevel out of the teeth or can I leave some? The other side looks normal on the top of the teeth and I hate to grind more than needed. Thanks for any advice.
