welcome to the wonderful world of wood! aint it great!

IT SURE THE HELL IS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Holy cow!!!! Did that return cover the cost of the insert? IE, has the insert paid for itself already?

Awesome...We budget bill $130 a month for natural gas. Sometimes our winter bills are $300+, and that is living miserly. 62 daytime with wife & child home, 58 night. And that 58 is 1st floor temps, not master bedroom temps.

That is awsome. I had similar results. My insert paid for itself in 1 year. This year I pay for the hearth work and liner. :-)

My gas bill went from $180 to $60 bucks for this month. Everyday I am making money!!!! CHING CHING

This is our first year with our woodstove. We are getting 45% more degree days per gallon of propane as compared to last year. When you figure that the boiler is still using a similar amount of propane for hot water and we are probably cooking the same amount, the improvement is even better.

budman, were you on electric heat? Or do you use O & R for gas & electric? Just wondering because I'm with O & R also. Just electric though. Your budget billing was huge man. That's some savings!

It's all good bud. Thanks.
I'm hoping I get the same results you're getting. That would be sensational. Actually, I'd be happy if I got 50% of your savings. Anything more would be gravy.

Happy holidays
