This Whitfield WP2 insert has three gold colored trim pieces that go around the rectangular frame covering the fireplace opening. Does anyone know how these pieces normally attach? The back side seems to be a brown vinyl. One of the three pieces has a 1/2" by 60 mil thick magnetic strip over the vinyl so it magnetically attaches to the rectangular frame. Is that how the factory attached these pieces or did a previous owner do that?
