BB... You could point that thing at the stove all day long, but it won't tell you jack about the temp. ;-P

That IR won't be much more helpful. It only goes to 600F. 75% of the time my stove is above that.
 
"The one to look at." came from it showing up on the page in his link along with the thermo.

In fact I am hacked because I went into town for stuff today and forgot to stop and get one of those moisture meters.
 
BB, do you really want to know how wet those huge two year-old oak splits actually are inside?
 
Great price, I think I spent a little MORE at Harbor Freight. Good for Lowes.
