I'm looking for a gas insert to replace a wood stove insert for my fireplace.

Are there any on the market that do anything other than try and look like a real fire?

I'd like something that looks unique.

You could always get one without the 'faux logs' and come up with something original, here's a couple of things I can think of

Use BBQ lava rocks or lava briquettes and make a charcoal or coal pile kinda look

Use steel wool and lava rocks and make a 'glowing embers' motif

make a cast iron cut-out of your least favorite politician and burn him in effigy

(sorry if my spelling is off, I've had a long day)

I thought it was cool too. I have no clue on how I came upon it the first time. Good thing I remembered how I found more of the companies huh ;)
