Shot in the dark here, but I have a situation.
Neighbor has a tree that he had taken down. It is lying in rounds on his front lawn. I said I would take it and have been doing all I can to get the stuff.
My wife is pregnant and the baby is due next week, so this weekend is really the only time I have to try and finish getting this wood.
The neighbor wants it gone ASAP since he is trying to sell the house. Anything I don't get by this weekend he is going to put up a sign saying free wood.

I've done all I can by myself. What is left is a bunch of huge rounds. Larger than 3 feet wide.

If anyone near me wants to help me finish this this weekend, I'll split the wood with you 50/50.
I have the splitter, it is just too difficult for me on my own to get these large rounds into the splitter.

Here is the tree:

I can give you a hand. How does Sunday sound?

I am pretty close would love to get in on that but I have to work all weekend. :( Good score and to who ever can get out to to help. I can do Monday if there is anything left by then.

How did you guys make out?

I came to see Chaz (very nice guy) on Saturday I think we spent 2.5-3 hr and we quartered whatever we felt was worth it. Then I came back Sunday with a trailer (5x10) and got a full load roughly 3/4 maybe a cord. No pic sorry.

I'm sore as can be. That was a lot of heavy wood. Hope you got enough wood to make it worth it prezes13. We worked hard for the heat!

The more I visit Hearth the more I realize how many CT members there are. Hope you guys are getting ready for a cold next week. Glad you were able to help each other out!

I'm ready, the stove is ready!

I'll have firewood for a long time. There are about 8 more trees in my yard alone that need to come down sooner than later. I'm already about three years ahead.

No one has to tell me how many firewood burners there are. There are at least 6 on my street alone. When a tree comes down they don't stay down long!
