Hello,
We are building a new home and looking for a gas fireplace to be installed in a living room area roughly 250 sq feet, cathedral ceiling to a loft.
The Fireplace Distributor our builder uses has two brands for use to consider:
Kingsman - Bentley Model
Heat-n-Glo - either SL750 or SL950

We also received another quote on a Kozy Heat Bayport 41.

Based on a few distributors we have been too, whatever brands they sell, well, that's what your choices
are and we understand that.

Looking for any insights and other opinions:
- general experience with any of these brands, any manufacturer problems
- if you have bought one of these brands, what was a deciding factor

Appreciate any feedback.

Thanks
Jas

Most units on the market are quality products, or they wouldn't still be selling them.
That being said, go to your local hearth shop & look at what they have burning on the showroom floor.
Take control of the remote, if the unit has one, & put it through the motions. Ask questions if something
isn't clear from the brochures or salesperson. For the area you want to heat, you won't need a TON of BTUs,
but sometimes it's just nice to look at a fire, so you will want something with turn down capability.
Listen to the blowers on different speeds. They ARE noisy. Look at the front designs to see which goes
best with the decor you are going to have in that room. After you evaluate & digest all the information
available, purchase the one your wife wants.

Thank you for the comments and will keep your last suggestion in mind ;- )
