Hi there! Our home is around 2600 square feet with 12 foot ceilings and a grand and cavernous entry hall with a stairway to the upper floor. We want to get a wood stove this winter (it's going to be a DARK winter, as we've been told) so we want to set ourselves up to weather the storm... both financially and literally. But we've only just moved into our new home and begun our search, only to find that almost all brands of fireplaces are backordered until Feb 2022!
We came upon a factory refurbished Jøtul F 600 Firelight CB, basically brand new, for $2300. It's sitting on a pallet at a man's home who bought it back in 2020 but ended up sticking with the fireplace that came with his house. Is this a good price and a good option in 2021?
We don't mind a bit less efficiency and are not worried about not having a catalyst. In this market with supply chain issues, we kind of prefer the idea of having less breakable parts. I would very much appreciate any advice/thoughts you have. Thank you!!
