Hi forum,

New stove owner (CB1200i).. so far LOVE IT. One issue though.. How long should "the fans" run once the stove enters shutdown mode? I swear, once the flames are completely out, "one of the fans" runs for AT LEAST 30-40 minutes.. like to the point of driving me mad (since of course the stove is in my family room where we're watching TV every night of the winter). I swore my installers told me, or I read, that the fans should run roughly 18 minutes in the shutdown cycle.

I must be confusing that time as it's not even close to 18 minutes.. Perhaps if I unplug the stove, and re-plug it, it the exhaust fan may run for 18 minutes... but after burning for a while, it's way longer.

Normal?

If the stove has run for a couple hours the heat built up in all the metal parts may take 30-45 min to dissipate below 100 degrees and shut off

Perfectly normal. BTW, if you plug in stove and if heat is not being called for, the exhaust blower still runs for a time, then shuts down, so unplugging and re plugging in, exasperates the problem... Stay warm, enjoy the new stove, she is a winner.
