I am considering putting a new pellet stove in my basement workshop, this will be for supplimental/weekend heat just to make the shop a little more comfortable in the coldest months (Jan and Feb). I have a 3 flue chimney, straight shot, with one flue and thimble setup for the basement. The length of the basement flue run is 30 feet, My plan would be to line the flue with. 4” flex liner. My question is if I use a t clean out connected to the stove then 1 90 to get into the thimble then a “90 ish” in the flex liner - is this considered 3 90’s?? If so then my EVL would be 15 for the 90’s and the another 15 for the 30’ flue run so a total of 30 EVL. The stove mfg claims a max of 27 EVL so I would be over :-( Should I consider this a deal breaker for a pellet stove in the shop? My primary heat in the rest of the house is a cat wood stove so I could just put a small wood stove in the shop but I wanted a little more just flipping a switch kind of deal to heat it up in the shop. What would you do??

Question. Your 3-flue chimney what is it made of Metal, brick, or maybe clay tiles?
Is it 6 inches or larger?

If your building inspector says it is OK you do not need to line it.
pellet stoves don't heat a chimney like oil or wood.
This means your ELV is good to go
