Yup, that sounds like a D-max. Love mine.

30k+ it should be able to take it!

Probably much less dramatic if he had some decent tires. I think traction was much more an issue than weight.

You can certainly tell he has not done much of this sort of thing. For one, you don't try to pull it straight; you pull more at a 45 degree angle. The truck should have been aimed to the side and not straight on. You can also hook onto a log in such a way that the log rolls at the start of the pull and that makes it 10 times easier to get it started moving. But, he got it anyway and was probably laughing all the time.

should be. but if you check out the other links you'll find a dodge vs chevy nose to nose competition. the chevy broke it drive shaft after it couldn't take the dodge pushing it.

and don't get me wrong i'm not saying anything about who's better just agreeing about the $30,000 should be able to take it.

I agree, there were a lot smarter ways to go about getting it out. But it was kinda entertaining watching him beat up that Chevy/GMC.

That is the problem/challenge when shopping for a used truck.

Does nobody feel sorry for the road? I have jerks chew up my driveway all the time when they turn around in it.

i think what it is, is he loves paying for transmissions

I could careless on the make but a truck like that he that is abuse maybe that why I have a 500.00 s-10 and just winch the dang-thing out. If I was to ever pay that much for a truck it better load that sissy log for me!
