Hey there.. long time lurker here..

Omega (June '08 build, 1966xx serial.. ) last season had no problems, did the usual end of season cleanings and such, nothing stood out as odd..

This year turning on the stove, the auger didn't engage, feed trim works.

Checked hoses did vacuum tests, no different.. using manual feed trim works, but auger never engages..

(thermostat removed, cables reconnected to self, and set to manual..)

Was never a fiddler with the control board or settings.. but in 'line by line' manual and "service manual".. my multi fuel setting is enabled (yellow) and I can't get pellets to be the default..

Is this a sign of something?

From a powered off, pressing fuel type should go from multi fuel back to pellet (yellow to green..)

When the board powers up it shows green, then goes to yellow.. long pressing fuel type does make all the indicator lights go on..

Big picture problem is powering on does not auto engage the auger..

Opening either door does make the unit 'disengage' leading me to think that I do not have any seal issues.

Powering on unit, and pressing feed trim once, will seemingly engage the auger for the 'time' that the auger would run if working normally.. this produces a flame.

Feed trim, if pressed repetitively, will continue flame, engage blower, etc.. (I didn't wait enough to see if agitator would engage.)

Again also confirming I have no seal issues; IMHO

Humbly open to any suggestions, statements, questions, explanations, anything..

Thank you in advance.

I take it you have no error lights
Was your stove plugged in all summer?
Is it plugged into a surge protector?

(again, greatly appreciate the response; usually it's me and the walls.. and now you, the six of us; so thank you..)

Not plugged in *on purpose* over the summer .. not on a surge, no.

Only error lights when I let it 'time out', light 3 (again auger not running, so no fuel)

Chewing on ordering the board.. psp 4less - 50-2164

🤮

OT;

25+ years ago was working at a computer repair shop..

People would come in, upset about their modems blowing up; etc..

They would be all worked up, and I would ask, "what color was the smoke?"

- they would pause their rant/rage

"I don't know.. "

"Well the color of the smoke would determine what happened.. Please try and keep track so we can help you better the next time; $75 new modem and install; thanks."

so yes; magic smoke "tm" (twss)

again, thank you for being here..

my ff dot ca link got me to a "$301" product.. after tax, s&h was $330

again, 🤮

hopefully the kids will have heat in a few days..

🤞

Sounds like control board
I wish they update the new multi guild stoves board to work with the Omaga because they allow you to change {trim} voltages for each heat settings to each blower.
I only run on 2 or 3 and not enough combustion air voltage for a perfect burn.
And convection blower to low
