Would this work out on a 18’ tall exterior brick chimney. The liner is already in place that was used for an older fireplace insert. We want to install the stove 1/2 in & 1/2 out of the fireplace that has a 16” raised hearth. The insert is a vintage Fisher Fireplace Insert with the glass doors & duel blowers

Top venting? It may over draft and build up creosote at the same time. Is this a new NC-30 or an older one? Can install a damper

I’d give it a try with a flue gas thermometer and climb up to the roof after a month and assess how it clean it looks.

This is a new old stock NC-30 that we have had for several years. What brand of 6” stove top damper would fit in the outlet of the nc-30

it may be possible to install a damper in the 6” portion of the reducer. But you may not even need it.

let’s call in the experts. To chime in on the correct parts for the 7” liner to the 6” stove paging @begreen @bholler

Just a 7 to 6 reducer
