Hello,
We have recently replaced the exhaust fan and then suddenly the top auger stopped working. We did the test for the top auger and it is working. We also tested the hopper switch, and vacuum switch, and both are fine. We checked the connection to the control board and nothing is loose, what could be my issue?
I should mention that the auger motor is less than two years old, but like I stated above we did the test and it turns do it is definitely not the auger motor.

We also completely emptied out the hopper and vacuumed it out so we could see that nothing was stuck.
I also reset the control board

Was the stove unplugged when the motor was changed? Dollar bill test on the door seal? That stove relies heavily on being clean and exhaust motors ability to move the air as needed. Is the new motor the same rpm and direction ( cw / ccw)?

Ya it was unplugged. No draft through door. Motor is the exact same.
Could the one prong that houses the top auger wire be bad? Is it possible for one prong to go bad?

Did you jump the vac and hopper switches? Did you test that the auger
motor is being fed 120 volts with the switches connected.
Has the stove been cleaned air intake to exhaust termination
If you can't move combustion through the stove there is no
vac so the upper auger motor will not work

Yes we “jumped” the vacc and hopper switches. We switched wires on top auger (non working) to bottom and it feeds, so that tells us nothing wrong with motor. The intake to exhaust has been cleaned.

This mind boggling. We don’t feel the control board is bad as everything lease is moving.

When you jumped the hopper switch did you reinstall the wires
To the Com. and the NO terminals? or on the NC terminal?

You took the top auger wires and moved them to the bottom auger and it works? That tells me the upper auger doesn’t work and needs replacement

You mention in your first post that you did the test for the top auger and it was working. Does that mean you put the stove into diagnostic mode and you were able to manually activate the auger?

Then when you say you swapped the wires from the top auger to the bottom and it feeds, did you swap the bottom wires to the top? Result? The last thing I would try is to return the wiring to normal and then swap auger motors (they're the same). I'm inclined to agree with Ssyko that you have a bad motor but I'd do this just to confirm. You'll be able to tell right away as the bottom auger, that you can see from through the glass, will begin to turn as soon as you press the 'on' button.
