I have 2 Englander M. 25ep pellet stoves the newer one is a year old and the auger started jamming every month (OK) than every week (pain), than every day (bad) and finally broke. They sent a new one but it was exactly the day the warranty ran out so i hope it works. We hooked a thermostat to this stove and it would barely stay lit, once bipassed it ran fine. Customer service said there was nothing they could do to fix this. The igniter failed, and the back foam piece was broke when we received it, they warrantied both of these.
Stove #2 is 2 years old and has been decent but the auger jams every 2-4 weeks. It's a pain to clear it, is there a fix (bigger motor?)? Can the cylinder somehow be cut and hinged to allow easy access to the top of the auger where it jams.
The older one has saved me a ton on Heat and I don't mind the maintenance the newer on is a pain in the butt. I know part of the problem may be the pellets but they are premium pellets (Lowes). Any help? If there was an easier way to clear the auger I would give these a 5 but as is a 3.
