Hi all,

I recently bought a house that has an Empyre 400 boiler heating two buildings but unfortunately it has been treated extremely poorly in the last few years and clearly hasn't been cleaned properly and has been burning green wood for several years.

I know Profab is out of business and no longer supported, but wanted to ask if anyone here might be familiar enough with the Empyre pro series (200 or 400) or even have one themselves to answer a few questions that go beyond what the manual provides. Mainly, wondering what the arrangement of fire bricks should look like in the primary burn chamber, how the insulation should be set up in the back behind the gassifier, if you have any tricks for cleaning large clogs of creosote in the vertical flues, etc.
I would be more than happy to pay for the time involved to talk me through it so I can get the boiler up and running again and I would really appreciate any pointers on it.

Thanks!
