Hello ! I have an Efel 0462 Sherwood woodstove . I m having an issue with the damper/thermostat. We thought the old one was buggered and ordered a new one from Woodmanspartsplus. It is no different and the damper wont close manually. I am reluctant to use the stove as last winter the damper opened on its own and had an extremely hot fire. We had the stove checked and cleaned and they gave it the all clear however they did not know anything about Efel stoves.
Stuck on what to do. I don't like the design where its " thermostatically " controlled and I cant control the damper.
