Hello, looking for some help just bought my first home and it has a wood furnace Drolet HeatMax II, when I moved in the furnace never had a thermostat I used it a couple times manually with the switch on the side, couldn’t complain the thing is awesome and heats up the house perfectly, so I wanted to go on the safer side and install a thermostat. so today I tried to install it, now I’m having this problem I put the wires to W and R like the manuel said and got no response so I changed the wires to Y and R now the damper is opening but won’t close even when the thermostat is turned down lower then the temperature in the room only way I can get it to close is unhooking the wires again, anyone have any suggestions on what I could be doing wrong.?
