Scandanavians have been doing this for well over a decade, so it is definitely do-able on a technical level. Google "pellx" and "janfire" and look at their burner heads. The fellow at Pellergy, who I've spoken to (and I was impressed with both his technical know-how and his straightforwardness) is basically trying to bring the same technology to the US, which makes sense.

Hansson, thank you for becoming our Swedish radar station! It's good to know that others have thought out how to do some of this. Most of us 'mercans are eager to hear of the possibilities of easy and economical home heating. We are all cringing at the thought of $4/gal oil and I know the Europeans are all laughing at us right now! Just as a reality check, how much are y'all paying for oil and gasoline?

Chris

$8.50 a gallon! Thanks for the info. It helps put things in perspective once in a while...
